Murilo Melo Vale
Murilo Melo Vale is responsible for Public and Tax Law. He has extensive professional experience in the highly complex demands of Public Law, especially in: public utilities (sanitation, energy, telecommunications, etc.) regulation; Concessions and PPPs structuring; Mining partnerships; Anticorruption systems (compliance and integrity mechanisms); Defenses in administrative liability processes; Strategic plans to optimize public purchase and reduce risks in the management of various types of government partnerships.
Murilo also acts for agents and public entities, for instance, in representations before Courts of Accounts, consultative demands for public agency and entities of the Public Administration and demands involving mechanisms of public management and public policies.
Murilo Melo Vale holds a Master’s Degree in Administrative Law from UFMG Law School. He is a doctorate student in the same area at UFMG. Murilo also holds a post-graduate degree in Public Law and in Tax Law. He was a contracted Professor at UFMG, in Administrative Law, and he is currently an assistant professor in several legal courses. He is a researcher in a Research Group registered at CNPq. He is member of the Administrative Law Commission of OAB/MG.
Murilo is co-author of the book “Price Register: Analysis of the Law No. 8.666/1993, the Federal Decree No. 7.812/13 and other normative acts”, as well as author of several scientific articles published in national legal journals.
Guilherme Vinseiro Martins
Guilherme Vinseiro é o responsável pela área de litígios estratégicos e arbitragem do escritório. Possui experiência na advocacia contenciosa cível e empresarial em 1ª e 2ª instâncias e junto aos Tribunais Superiores. Também atua na fase preparatória aos litígios, de modo a identificar os riscos envolvidos para adoção da estratégia que melhor se amolde à solução da controvérsia.
Além disso, já atuou em demandas judiciais de alta complexidade relacionadas com matérias cíveis, empresariais, falimentares, contratuais, de responsabilidade civil e sucessões, em vários segmentos especializados, tais como energia, hospitalar, telefonia, construção civil, educação, imobiliário, instituições financeiras e siderurgia e mineração.
É Mestre e Doutorando em Direito Empresarial pela UFMG. Foi professor convidado nos cursos de pós-graduação lato sensu da Pontifícia Universidade Católica de Minas Gerais e CEDIN Educacional. Atualmente, é professor colaborador de cursos jurídicos livres e em formato in company.
Guilherme é autor do livro “Grupos Societários e a Extensão dos Efeitos da Falência” e coautor do livro “Primeiras Lições sobre o novo Direito Processual Civil Brasileiro”, além de autor de diversos artigos publicados em revistas jurídicas nacionais.
Mário Tavernard Martins de Carvalho
Mário Tavernard is responsible for corporate law and assets/succession planning. He acts in M&As negotiation and structuring, corporate reorganizations, joint ventures, investment funds, assets and succession planning, private equity, venture capital and capital markets. Beside this, he represents several clients in corporate and business conflicts, acting in arbitrations and court cases involving renowned business groups.
He has experience in contractual negotiations and corporate operations advising in several specialized segments, such as: pharmaceutical, energy, oil and gas, infrastructure, laboratory and hospital medicine, information technology, real estate developments, supermarket and wholesale, education, sanitation, heavy engineering and steel industry, including international operations.
He holds a Master’s Degree in Business Law from the UFMG Law School and is a professor in Business Law at IBMEC LLM.
Mário is the author of the book Legal Regime of the Investment Funds and he is the organizer and co-author of the work Corporations and Capital Markets. He is also co-author of the following books: Investment Funds – Legal, Regulatory and Tax Aspects and Family Business – Legal Studies.
